Stacey Youngs is the Founder of Liberty Women’s Foundation and brings a rare
integration of frontline emergency experience, trauma-informed psychotherapy, and deeply relational leadership to the organisation. Stacey has worked extensively with individuals and families experiencing crisis, trauma, mental-health distress, and profound vulnerability. Her career has shaped a strong understanding of how trauma impacts the nervous system, relationships, and a person’s sense of safety — particularly for women navigating domestic violence, addiction, and complex life stressors.
Stacey has come from a military background and served as a paramedic for almost 2 decades. She is now serving the community as a qualified psychotherapist with a strong grounding in trauma-informed, relational, and nervous-system-based approaches to healing. Her clinical work is guided by the belief that healing does not occur through fixing or pathologising, but through safety, connection, and compassionate understanding. Stacey has worked closely with women in crisis accommodation,
community mental-health settings, and recovery spaces, supporting them to rebuild
trust in themselves, their bodies, and their futures.
Liberty Women’s Foundation was born from Stacey’s lived experience of witnessing the gaps in care for women at their most vulnerable, particularly the lack of accessible, ongoing, trauma-informed support once immediate crisis has passed. The foundation reflects her unwavering belief that recovery is not only possible, but transformative when women are met with dignity, consistency, and genuine human care. Stacey is deeply committed to creating services that honour both clinical excellence and the lived realities of the women they serve.
As Founder and Chair, Stacey provides strategic vision, clinical oversight, and values-based leadership to the foundation. She is passionate about building strong community partnerships, sustainable systems of care, and a culture that prioritises integrity, collaboration, and compassion at every level. On a personal level, Stacey leads with authenticity, humility, and heart. She is driven by a deep respect for the courage it takes to survive and an equally deep belief in what becomes possible when women are supported to heal. Liberty Women’s Foundation is both a
professional mission and a deeply personal calling, grounded in the conviction that
no woman should have to navigate recovery alone.
